One of the most frequently asked questions I get about maternity sessions is whether fathers can take part in the session too. And my answer is always a resounding yes. I think it’s so important for dads to be part of the session. It’s an opportunity to capture this beautiful transition period as your family grows from two to three.

Melinda's Maternity Session | Arlington VA Pregnancy and Baby Photographer

I met Melinda and her husband Brian at my new residential studio in Fairfax for her maternity session and it was a dream from beginning to end. Both of them are so much fun to be around - I laughed and smiled the whole way through. Our session even ran over a bit because I was having such a good time with them! Melinda just glowed in every single image, so beautiful and ethereal.  They squeezed this session in just in the nick of time too - baby boy came along less than two days later! They are going to be such amazing parents to their wonderful baby boy and I am so thrilled to document this time for them.
