Defined, boudoir means “a woman’s bedroom or private space.” At it’s core, boudoir is about intimacy and vulnerability. A look in to a space that’s private and not typically open to others. Maternity boudoir is a reminder of a woman’s grace and raw strength. A glimpse into what she is experiencing. How her body has changed, how she’s preparing for something new and unknown. It’s a celebration of all things to come, and she made it be. An embrace of what your body can do.

There are few higher professional honors than to hold a session for a fellow photographer. Kate is a photographer herself and I’ve gotten to know her over the last several years. I first met her for her newborn session for baby #3 (you can see more of those images here). More recently she visited me in the studio again for a maternity session while she waits for baby #4.
