I feel so fortunate to have photographed this family several times since meeting them the first time for their newborn session. They are fun, sweet, and so so in love with their little girl. Seeing them all together each time is amazing. It’s incredible to watch Amarissa grow from baby to toddler. Each time I see her she has grown so much, learned so many new things, and shares more of her personality.

We went out to one of my favorite fields in the area and had the very best time together for their session. The light and evening was the perfect beautiful environment to capture them in. My favorite moments are always those where you can just be yourself. Usually when dad is tipping you upside down, or when you can have a moment with your partner, remembering how it all began.

You would never know by looking at these images that rain rolled in just as we were finishing up this family session. I don’t know if we just got lucky or if someone was looking out for us, but I’m so glad the rain held off just long enough for us to finish. Autumn Family Session | Northern VA Photographer

I can't say enough how much of a joy it is to be able to capture your families each year. I've watched these girls grow from babies and known mama through two pregnancies now. It's amazing how time flies, but more than that, it's amazing to get to be along for the ride. To be so proud to get to know a family like theirs.

With all the rain we've had this season, we got so lucky on this day. It rained for days beforehand, and threatened rain again during our session. Instead, the skies cleared and we had the most perfect weather for the best family session.

Perfect to let this family be together and enjoy the moment.
