I adore so much about this beautiful family session. Fun fact: this session was held at sunrise! Early mornings can be tricky for some families, but I always love sessions held for the first light of the day. The light is always beautiful and babies are generally at their very happiest. Planned for the right time of year, sunrise sessions don’t have to feel quite to early either. Here are some of my favorite images from this session - enjoy!

Family of Four Autumn Session | Alexandria VA Area Photographer

Every time I look at the images from this session I can’t help but smile. These girls are too stinkin’ cute and their parents are a dream (and yes, mama is completely gorgeous with that beautiful hair!). We held their family session at one of my favorite outdoor locations and the entire session was perfection from beginning to end. We had so much fun with every single thing we did. Sometimes parents ask me what they should do during the session to help, and the best possible thing you can do it what they did here: have fun and love on your kids. That’s always the answer. Sunset Autumn Session | Loudoun County Family Photographer

I feel so fortunate to have photographed this family several times since meeting them the first time for their newborn session. They are fun, sweet, and so so in love with their little girl. Seeing them all together each time is amazing. It’s incredible to watch Amarissa grow from baby to toddler. Each time I see her she has grown so much, learned so many new things, and shares more of her personality.

We went out to one of my favorite fields in the area and had the very best time together for their session. The light and evening was the perfect beautiful environment to capture them in. My favorite moments are always those where you can just be yourself. Usually when dad is tipping you upside down, or when you can have a moment with your partner, remembering how it all began.

You would never know by looking at these images that rain rolled in just as we were finishing up this family session. I don’t know if we just got lucky or if someone was looking out for us, but I’m so glad the rain held off just long enough for us to finish.
